This lively painting by renowned Northwest artist Fay Jones, was created especially for Book-It’s 2005 production of Don Quixote…. (Jones served as scenic designer for the production.) The painting features a swirling mass of skeletal figures and the devil himself set against a backdrop of greys, Florentine reds, and a touch of sea glass greens and blues. Painted on a 70" circular canvas, the painting itself is a quixotic blend of influences, from Italian renaissance to folkloric depictions of Day of the Dead….
